We were incredibly grateful for Emily’s nurturing care throughout the entirety of our pregnancy and birth experience. From the moment we met her, we could sense her empathy and experience—two things that felt very important to us as we traversed our third high-risk pregnancy.

Not only was she present for texts, phone calls, questions, and assistance with making important decisions about our birth plan, but she made space in the middle of the night on Christmas Eve to coach us through contractions over the phone and then left her family to attend the birth of our daughter on Christmas Day.

For my first 3 births, I did not have a doula. My first experience was a bit traumatic and each subsequent birth was dramatically more positive! When I found out I was pregnant with twins I knew my birth plan would be tossed out the window and I had to make a multi-situational plan.

In this plan I knew I had to have a doula to support me in the moment, to let me know what was happening, make me aware of things I wasn’t seeing or hearing -because I would be in labor-.

My husband and I had the pleasure of having Emily assist us at the birth of my 3rd child. my two previous births had been rough and I felt like the extra support this time around would be very helpful for my husband and myself. My daughter was a little crooked and not quite in the ideal position for childbirth a few weeks before she came out. Emily recommended some exercises to help reposition her and due to me doing the recommended exercises, she was in a great position when I gave birth to her. Due to how fast my labor was and when I arrived at the birth center, Emily ended up only being with me for about 10 minutes before my daughter was born.

Emily was absolutely amazing. She was with me every step of the way through my pregnancy and birth. I had to be induced and messaged once I was 7 cm and she came right over. She was the most supportive and helpful during labor. I do not know what I would have done without her. I highly recommend her. -Amber T.

It has taken us a while to write a testimony mainly because it’s difficult to find the right words of appreciation. Towards the end of pregnancy, my husband and I were encouraged by others to have a doula assist with the birth of our first child. Naturally, we scoured the internet. After searching, we decided that a doula who shared our faith would be important. From the very first meeting, we knew Emily would be the perfect person to guide us.

I am so glad I decided to have a doula for my first birth and I’m so glad it was Emily! She was amazing! I knew within minutes of meeting her this would be a good fit, and over the course of the months and meetings she became like family. I’m thankful for her knowledge, encouragement, guidance and even just the simple (but invaluable!) tasks like keeping me fed and hydrated throughout my labor. I was matched with Emily through Everyday Miracles, after praying for the right doula to support me through the delivery of my 3rd child. After 2 harder deliveries, I had been hoping for a more natural 3rd delivery, but ended up having a breech baby instead, and settling on a c-section.Emily could not have been more helpful and encouraging as I walked through the options before me with a breech baby. She was supportive and really took the time to understand where I was coming from and my past deliveries. She was very respectful of my decisions and preferences, and offered to still be by my side for the scheduled c-section I ended up deciding to have.

I was matched with Emily through Everyday Miracles. For not personally being in control of who I was matched with, I asked the Lord to choose. He knew exactly what support I needed and provided Emily. She exceeded any expectation I had and I couldn’t have asked for a more kind and caring individual. Emily is not just a great doula, she is the most supportive friend and companion you could possibly have next to you during labor and delivery. I highly recommend Emily for her doula services. I’m a first time mother and when I found out I was pregnant I knew I wanted a doula to help me through an unmedicated birth. I wanted someone that would support me as well as my husband. I wanted someone who had been through this before and would be able to coach and support us. Emily was all that and more.

I was already a few months pregnant when I started looking for a doula. This was my first pregnancy and I knew I wanted someone who was kind, patient, preferably a Christian and someone I felt comfortable with right off the bat. So before meeting Emily I was nervous. We had a phone interview first and I really liked her. Our next meeting was in person at Starbucks with my husband and after that meeting I felt so at ease and glad to know she would be by my the whole time! Having Emily at my second birth was the game changer for my positive mindset throughout my unmedicated labor and delivery! She was there to offer exactly what I needed before I even knew I needed it, whether that was a drink of water, change of position or the encouraging voice I heard when my own inner voice was telling me I couldn't continue.

After a traumatic hospital birth experience in 2016 that left my son injured, and myself wheelchair-bound and confined to my home for 6 months, I decided to go with a birth center and I needed to hire a Doula this time around. From our 1st conversation, I knew I wanted Emily to be my Doula. She had a sweet and calming presence, and I knew she would be a great advocate in case things went awry this time.

Emily was so supportive and helpful at the birth of my second baby. She has such a calm and peaceful demeanor. She added the perfect balance of positive energy and also focused support.
