I highly recommend Emily for her doula services.  I’m a first time mother and when I found out I was pregnant I knew I wanted a doula to help me through an unmedicated birth. I wanted someone that would support me as well as my husband. I wanted someone who had been through this before and would be able to coach and support us. Emily was all that and more. She has a calm demeanor, expert advice and helpful suggestions. She answered all of our questions with honesty and respect. After speaking with her in a zoom call and meeting with her in person I knew I wanted her to be our doula. 

 I went into labor three weeks early and she answered the phone when I called at 3am to tell her my water broke. Her calm reassuring voice helped me through intense contractions and helped me figure out our next steps. Once we got to the hospital Emily was by our side for hours holding my legs and helping me push. At the same time she was checking on my husband making sure he was drinking water and taking breaks if he needed it.  She was a welcomed member of our birthing team and everything we needed during labor. With her help I was able to have the unmedicated birth I wanted. 

 Her postpartum services are equally as beneficial. She has so many helpful resources for physical recovery, breast-feeding, massage, newborn photography, and any other random questions we had. I’m so thankful she was our doula and highly recommend her to anyone considering having a doula at their birth. You’ll be in good hands with Emily.
