It has taken us a while to write a testimony mainly because it’s difficult to find the right words of appreciation. Towards the end of pregnancy, my husband and I were encouraged by others to have a doula assist with the birth of our first child. Naturally, we scoured the internet. After searching, we decided that a doula who shared our faith would be important. From the very first meeting, we knew Emily would be the perfect person to guide us. She has a wealth of knowledge and shared so many tips and tricks to prepare for labor—before and during. Even when our birth didn’t go quite as planned and we ultimately had a c-section, Emily provided us with the support we needed.
