As a first-time mom, I was nervous and unsure of what to expect with birth. Emily was such a steady and knowledgeable support, helping prepare me ahead of time with exercises, tips, and answers to all my questions. During labor, she walked me through every phase, encouraged me when things were hard, and helped me make informed decisions with confidence.
She worked so well with the hospital nurses and guided my husband in ways he could support me, which made us feel like we had the most amazing birth team. I ended up having an induction, which I had been nervous about, but Emily’s encouragement to walk the halls, eat when I didn’t want to, and keep hydrated played such a huge role in helping my labor progress smoothly.
When things were intense, Emily motivated me, prayed for me, and helped me manage the pain until I chose an epidural at 7 cm. Even after that, she made sure I kept moving and changing positions in bed. I also feel incredibly blessed that Madeline was there to support us as well - she stayed right by my side, helped me through nausea, and offered constant encouragement. Together, they cheered me on all the way through pushing, making me feel confident and cared for.I am so grateful Emily (and Madeline) were there to walk me through every phase of birth - their presence, knowledge, and encouragement made all the difference, and I can’t imagine my birth experience without them!
